Job Description:
As a Drug Screen Collector/Phlebotomist, you will perform critical specimen collection tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This includes conducting urine drug screen collections and phlebotomy within a pre-arranged territory
Specimen Collection:
As a Drug Screen Collector/Phlebotomist, you will perform critical specimen collection tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This includes conducting urine drug screen collections and phlebotomy within a pre-arranged territory
Specimen Collection:
- Perform drug screen and phlebotomy specimen collections following established procedures.
- Accurately complete chain-of-custody forms and other requisitions.
- Responsibilities include traveling to client offices or off-site locations to perform drug testing collection and/or phlebotomy duties as required.
- DOT Certified Drug and Alcohol Collector a PLUS but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Traveling to specified locations to obtain samples as required.
- Disinfecting extraction sites using alcohol swabs.
- Accurately labeling all samples.
- Maintaining accurate patient records, which include detailing any medical issues experienced by patients during venipuncture procedures that may affect the accuracy of test results.
Requirements:
- Proven experienced phlebotomist.
- Valid driver's license.
- Valid Auto Insurance.
- Excellent customer service & communication skills.
- Knowledge regarding HIPAA/PHI law.
- Detail-oriented/sound organizational skills.
- Professional, responsible, self-starter with excellent attention to detail and good penmanship.
- Reliable transportation is a must.
- Must be computer proficient, have internet access, and a printer/scanner: to print, scan, and upload completed documents.
Physical and Availability Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to sit, stand, or focus for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift objects up to 25 pounds.
- Flexibility for on-call collections, including weekends and holidays.
